With 85 km of linked runs between Super-Besse (1350 – 1800 m) and Le Mont-Dore (1200 – 1840 m), enjoy varied skiing for all levels. Super-Besse offers 58 runs, freestyle areas, a speed stadium and 13 night runs. The wilder Le Mont-Dore offers 42 km of skiing and a torchlit descent. Modern lifts and guaranteed snow for an unforgettable vacation!

NORDIC SKIING

With 250 km of trails in 9 linked sectors, the Espace Nordique Sancy offers an ideal setting between forests and snow-covered plateaus. At Besse-Pertuyzat-Montchal (1200-1300 m), 86 km of trails wind around Lake Pavin. At Super-Besse-Madalet (1300-1450 m), 60 km of trails alternate between clearings and forests. Connecting itineraries allow you to explore the entire massif on Nordic skis!

Snow conditions in Super-Besse: what past winters in Auvergne have revealed Super-Besse, in the heart of the Massif Central, offers an original mountain alternative with its volcanic ski area. Snow conditions in Auvergne are sometimes underestimated, but there are plenty of surprises in store for skiers who dare to venture onto the slopes of the Sancy. Here are the figures for previous seasons.

The total snowfall for the winter season indicates the overall volume of snow received by the resort. The Massif du Sancy, the highest peak in the Massif Central, creates its own orographic effect that favors snowfall. The number of snowy days reflects the recurrence of winter episodes in the area.

The average snowfall recorded at the foot of the pistes gives a concrete indication of conditions at the bottom of the resort, at around 1350 meters altitude. The maximum snowfall achieved in past winters shows that Super-Besse can experience very generous periods.

An analysis of Super-Besse’s snow cover allows you to plan your vacation in this unique setting with peace of mind. Between volcanic landscapes, crater lakes and beech forests, the Auvergne resort offers a different skiing experience.
