Enjoy the beaches of the Basque Coast
The Basque Coast and its beaches need no introduction, and even less so for surfers, who will find numerous spots to practice their skills. The program for your vacation: idleness, swimming and a host of water sports activities to enjoy as a couple, with friends or as a family.
Anglet, with its 4.5 km of coastline, is considered the surfing capital of the Basque Country. It’s the ideal place to learn to surf or to perfect your skills. The Cavaliers beach and its waves will impress you.
Biarritz is a charming town surrounded by cliffs and its Villa Belza perched on the Rocher de la Vierge. It also attracts surfers and holidaymakers with its Grande Plage, its Côte des Basques beach, and the tranquil Marbella beach.
Nestling in the heart of a bay, Hendaye offers holidaymakers the longest beach in the Basque Country, with 3 km of fine sand for you to enjoy.
If you want to go paddleboarding or Hawaiian canoeing sheltered from the wind, Saint-Jean-de-Luz is the place to put down your towel. To the north-west of the bay lies the mythical Belharra wave, defied by professional surfers…
