The Jura has no fewer than three family ski resorts and village resorts with authentic winter charm. Welcome to Métabief, the main resort of the Haut-Doubs region, located on the Mont d’Or massif between 900 and 1430 m altitude.

The ski area extends over 37 km of ski runs and 4 fun zones for alpine skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, freestyle and freeride for the more adventurous, with secure off-piste areas.
There are two ski schools ready to welcome you, whatever your level, throughout the resort, to help you discover all kinds of snow sports.

1. With a front row seat to the Mont d’Or summit, the Métabief ski resort reaches an altitude of 1463m.
It’s a family resort rich in generosity, human warmth and an eye for the grandeur of nature! It’s a great place to bring the whole family, to experience the very best of skiing and snow sports, and to feel “at home”, with all the security that implies. It offers an exceptional panoramic view of no fewer than 300 Alpine peaks, and at the same time, it’s a real heart-tugger, with all the magic and comfort of authentic charm in the heart of the village-station. Our real favorite is skiing in the early morning, with a view of the Alps… A beauty to be devoured with the eyes. From the Bernese Oberland to the Mont Blanc massif, you’ll love it!
2. Ready for a trip to the glades? It’s time for some family skiing.
Are you and your family more into gentle trails, or more of a sporting challenge on bumpy descents? The Métabief forest is a lovely winter playground, ideal for slide addicts but also for snowball fighters on your snowshoe hikes! The resort boasts 3 signposted cross-country ski trails, 58 snowshoe trails and no fewer than 137 cross-country ski trails, giving you plenty to do during your winter vacations in the Jura.
